We did it, and we couldn't be more grateful! Thanks to everyone who joined the Guardian Farm team to help plant 10,000 endangered Queñua trees with a local group in the Sacred Valley. The community gathered in Calca and from there, we embarked on a one-hour journey to a remote community region, an area that had been clear-cut during the Spanish era.
We sent a team of 11 people to assist, 7 of whom had their travel and accommodations covered. Many described the experience as once-in-a-lifetime, witnessing such a large-scale planting event. The panoramic views were breathtaking, and we were fortunate to have a professional photographer on our team capturing the essence of the event.
At the farm, we are in full swing with our tree cultivation. This year, we have been working tirelessly to propagate 5,000 bamboo plants, covering 3 different varieties. Bamboo is an invaluable resource.
Guardian Farm has around 10,000 - 12,000 trees to donate and plant this year. We will keep you updated on our efforts. Thank you for all your support.
Oh! Oh! If anyone has a microscope, we would love to have one to advance our research on soil health. We do a lot to create living soils rich in microbes.
We are a nonprofit organization in Peru! ❤️ Thank you so much for all your support. ❤️
